Well this is a perfect kind of "Super" day. Deadline reports that James Gunn has cast David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan as Superman and Lois for the DCEU and if that wasn't enough, we get a season finale (not series finale) with our Superman and Lois, Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch! That is a perfect Summer day for us! David and Rachel will have huge shoes to fill as Tyler and Elizabeth have been called the best live action versions of Superman and Lois to date and we agree! While still excited about the casting news, we are also so excited to see Lex Luthor make his revenge move against Superman! Here's what stood out to us:
- 32 Days: We are about a month ahead in time. Luthor hasn't been seen and Superman can't find Luthor. Jordan is still grounded from being a hero. Kyle and Chrissy are still together and we find out that Chrissy is pregnant with Kyle's baby. Kyle is happy about it and this makes Chrissy very pleased! John Irons asks out Lana and she agrees.
- Italy: Lois and Clark announce they are going to Italy for a family vacation. They will talk about it over dinner at the diner. Kyle tells Lana about the baby. Lana takes the news well. The DOD wants more tech from the Irons family. This means they would have to move to Metropolis and Natalie would go to school with her boyfriend Mateo. Jon helps set up for the meteor showers festiival. Lois and Clark learn about Chrissy's baby. Just then, Clark learns of a murder that Luthor seems to be behind.
- Luthor's Plan: Luthor seems to be going after everyone that sentenced him. The judge was murdered. Sam Lane reveals he has a girlfriend. John Irons and Lana go out on their date sharing drinks. Lana learns that John will likely be moving to Metropolis. At the family dinner, Clark and Lois lift some of the restrictions on Jordan using his powers. Turns out Sam's girlfriend was a plant by Luthor and she tases him and Otis, now missing an ear, loads him up into a van.
- Heartbroken Jordan: Clark takes a moment to talk with Jordan about how he is treating Sarah. Clark gives Jordan the money to pay Sarah. He uses the opportunity to try and heal. John Henry's date goes well and even though he is going to Metropolis Lana remains interested. Clark discovers that Luthor might have Sam and goes looking for him. Luthor has Bizarro trapped in Mannheim's lair. He's feeding him whole cows. With Sam Lane kidnapped the only person protecting Lois is Superman and Luthor has a plan to kill him.
- 33 Days Ago: We get a flashback where we see what happened with Bizarro. Luthor brought a yellow sun energy gun to stop him. Bizarro has the ability to bring himself back from the dead after what Mannheim did to him. Every time he dies, he comes back stronger. Luthor puts together a plan to kill Bizarro time after time to make him stronger than even Superman. Having mutating every time he dies, Luthor is turning Bizarro into something that looks like Doomsday! At the meteor show festival, Kyle steals the mic to ask Chrissy to marry him. Clark hovers above Earth listening for Sam. He hears Luthor approach the Kent farm. Luthor calls in his creation, a Doomsday monster capable of killing Superman!
In the final wrap up moments, Doomsday is set loose in Smallville. Clark warns off everyone that might try and help him. He knows this thing is too strong. The battle takes the pair all the way to Metropolis. Superman is able to freeze Doomsday and impale him on a skyscraper. This doesn't kill Doomsday and he comes back with a vengeance. In the streets of Metropolis, Doomsday lifts Superman into the sky. Clark isn't breathing but he is able to come back to his senses and break free from Doomsday, their fight continues on the moon! No new preview this time as that is a wrap on season 3!

This was part 2 of Lex Luthor's vengeance. Already we forget about Bruno Mannheim as he was this season's main villain.
A move to Metropolis is the most likely direction for the 4th season.
Neither Smallville nor Batman v Superman gave us the full fledged fight between Superman and Doomsday. Only Superman and Lois pulled it off.
A great Superman Day indeed.
