Michael Cudlitz cast as Lex Luthor for Season 3
1/24/2023 1:37 pm
When Superman & Lois returns for its third season, we'll be seeing a new but familiar foe. With the establishment that the show doesn't really belong to the Arrowverse, there's a carte blanche to whether actors are reused or recasted for roles, and for Lex Luthor, we'll be having a new face, that of Michael Cudlitz. Best known for his role in The Walking Dead, Cudlitz will be portraying one of Superman's most well-known foes. Here's his character description:
Lex Luthor is known to the world as the visionary billionaire behind LexCorp, but secretly, the criminal underworld knows who Lex truly is: a brutal psychopath who terrorizes anyone he crosses paths with. When Lex debuts this season, it's been years since he dropped out of the public eye and he's re-emerging hellbent on correcting a personal injustice by enacting revenge on the two people he feels have wronged him — Superman and Lois Lane.
Sounds ominous, and we're intrigued to see what Cudlitz will bring to the role. What do you think of this casting? Let us know your thoughts below and in our forum! Don't forget to follow us on Twitter for breaking news!
New Trailer, Synopsis and Gallery for Season 3 of Superman & Lois, Premieres March 14th
1/18/2023 10:58 am
The third season of Superman and Lois is less than 2 months away, but in the meantime, let's take a look at all the information we know of the new season. According to the season's synopsis, we'll be starting the season off just a few weeks from where we left the Kents off at the end of last season, having defeated Ally, and now trying to settle into Smallville in earnest. But as we can imagine, that blissful peace won't last long. There will be new threats, such as a merciless villain that threatens Lois, and plenty of drama to keep us on our toes from the looks of it. Check out the synopsis below:
The third season of Superman & Lois opens weeks after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston. Clark (Hoechlin) and Lois (Tulloch) now are working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough. Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan (Alex Garfin) discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) searches for purpose beyond the football field. Amid all this upheaval, John Henry (Wolé Parks) is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie (Tayler Buck). Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Kyle (Erik Valdez) redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah (Inde Navarrette) explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh) reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.
We have two images which highlights what is probably a calm opening scene, as well as a first look at Michael Bishop settling into his role as Jonathan:
And in contrast, we have the trailer which teases quite a bit of all the action and drama that's to come.
New episodes will be kicking off on March 14th, and we can't wait for it. What are your thoughts on everything we've seen so far? Let us know your thoughts below and in our forum! Don't forget to follow us on Twitter for breaking news!
Chad L. Coleman cast as Bruno Mannheim for Season 3

Next season looks to be expanding beyond Smallville's borders, with a name familiar to comic fans: Bruno Mannheim. Chad L. Coleman has joined the show's upcoming season to play the well-known villain that heads Intergang. Coleman is no stranger to the Arrowverse, having previously played Tobias Church in Arrow. In other roles, he's also starred in The Orville, The Walking Dead, and The Expanse. Looking towards the third season, Lois will be trying to hunt down the truth, according to the character description for Bruno Mannheim:
Bruno Mannheim is known to most of Metropolis as a local hero, a philanthropist who’s revived the struggling neighborhoods of the city. For years, Lois Lane has worked to prove that behind that facade is a career criminal and the head of the notorious organization Intergang. With some new leads, she might be closer than ever.

Michael Bishop joins as new Jonathan Kent
9/7/2022 12:23 pm
The search is over, and the new Jonathan Kent has been cast! Michael Bishop, who recently starred in Spin for the Disney Channel, will be joining the cast as the new Jonathan Kent. After Jordan Elsass' departure last month, and with season 3's filming set to begin this week, they needed to fill the role within a certain timeframe. Bishop fits the bill, and is set to join the cast as the new Kent brother. We are excited to see how the show will handle this change, and we look forward to seeing Bishop take on this new role in the upcoming season.
